Blue Lock: Episode Nagi

Second-year high school student Reo Mikage wants nothing more than to escape his illustrious family’s shadow by becoming a soccer star and winning the World Cup. The only thing that’s missing is a talented diamond in the rough who can help him achieve his dream. That’s when he sets his sights on Seishiro Nagi, a notorious slacker whose quick reflexes are the only hint of athletic ability. Can Reo find the switch to awaken the beast inside Nagi?

Roused by Ego’s speech at orientation, Reo jumped head-first into the Blue Lock program…and dragged Nagi in kicking and screaming. Thanks to the triple threat of Nagi, Reo, and Zantetsu, Team V has breezed through each round of the First Selection. That is, until they come up against Team Z and Yoichi Isagi. After getting “stolen” by Isagi’s team, Nagi finds himself torn between his newly awakened ego and his friendship with Reo. That question gets put to the test as Nagi, Isagi, and Barou face off against Reo, Kunigami, and Chigiri for a chance to clear the Second Selection. Reo will do whatever it takes to steal Nagi back…but will it be enough?

Things are looking dire for Nagi following a gut-wrenching loss to Rin’s team. With Isagi gone after being stolen, Nagi, Barou, and Chigiri must find a way to claw their way back in the next match. Yet that might be easier said than done. As the trio takes the field against Niko, Zantetsu, and Hiiragi, they soon learn that Hiiragi’s fortune-telling abilities are more than just a party trick. How do you beat a guy who can predict your every move?

As the curtain rose on the final rivalry battle of the Second Selection, Nagi suddenly found himself believing in his own skills for the first time. With one goal in the bag, he now sets out to confirm whether Reo was right about him being a prodigy. Nagi’s team will need to find a way to thwart Otoya and Karasu’s cool and calculating teamwork if they hope to seal the deal. They may not have the brains…but they do have the imagination!
