These are just a few of those beings once known as “demi-humans,” and high school Biology teacher Testsuo Takahashi has always wanted to meet them. He gets his chance when the new term starts, and there are four “demis” in his school! Join the caring, bumbling Tetsuo in his quest to get to know these adorable monster girls, while helping them navigate the highs and lows of high school!

FATAL ATTRACTION From making sure Hikari the vampire has what she needs when the urge to bite hits, to helping Kyoko the dullahan get home in the rain, high school biology teacher Tetsuo Takahashi is doing everything he can to make sure his demi students are comfortable and confident. But what about a demi who is forced to hide her abilities? Fellow teacher and succubus Sakie Sato is used to living an isolated life so her overwhelming sexiness doesn’t harm others, but now she faces a new situation. Touched by Tetsuo’s compassion for demis, Sakie has finally found a man she wants to be close to. Can she be honest about her feelings without hurting him with her power?

OUT IN THE COLD As high school Biology teacher Tetsuo Takahashi has gotten to know each of his demi students (and succubus colleague), he’s realizing more and more how many unique challenges these girls face. How can a vampire get ready in the morning if she can’t see herself in a mirror? Do dullahans hold the secrets to quantum physics? Testuo learns something surprising everyday, but he has a huge challenge ahead of him: with summer coming, he wants to make sure the vampire Hikari and snow-woman Yuki get to join in the sunny adventures. With new problems arising, Tetsuo also starts to wonder if his help is keeping the girls from growing on their own. Can he strike the right balance with the demis before summer break?

DEMIS IN THE SUN Summer has finally arrived for Takahashi-sensei and the demis, and they’re determined to make memories despite their challenges. From telling scary stories to finding creative ways to cool off, the girls always have fun in their own way. When Takahashi-sensei gets the chance to reserve the school pool for demis only, he’s able to give them a taste of the normal summer experience they’ve been looking for… but he may not be ready for a new level of sexiness from Satou-sensei! Meanwhile, a new demi appears on the scene. What adventures will she bring?

SOME ENCHANTED EVENING Tetsuo Takahashi’s quest to understand the demis around him forces him to confront questions both cosmic and personal. He goes to Yoko’s house to meet her live-in spirit; does Zashiko hold the key to the secrets of the universe? Later, he and Sakie finally get to go out for a drink, but things get complicated when an unexpected guest shows up! And when Sakie learns Yuki has a secret of her own, will she be able to offer the young snow woman her help? When it comes to matters of the heart, it turns out demis can be awfully human!

NEW IN TOWN When Hikari and the other demis try to share their more unique traits with their friends, it leads to a discussion of what exactly makes a demi special. It also turns out to be their chance to meet Kaoru, a new student at school. She’s a demi, too: A kijimunaa from Okinawan myth. Some say kijimunaa can read minds, but what does that really mean—for others and for her? When Kaoru’s abilities move her to offer some well-meaning advice to one of her new friends, she might just turn everyone’s world upside down!

GETTING BY Yoko’s get-together with the demis comes to a conclusion, but will the world still be intact for the after party? Then, love is in the air as Takahashi-sensei gets ready for a date with Sakie-sensei, but that won’t stop him from taking a detour into the evolutionary history of demis! He’s got more than just Sakie-sensei on his mind, though, now that Kyoko has confessed that she has a crush on him. How should he let her down easy? Finally, the girls gather to watch the fireworks to close out the summer, and they learn a little bit more about Kyoko in the process. Not every revelation has to be huge–some are just enough to warm the heart!

A MELANCHOLY FALL Summer vacation draws to a close, and the Fall season brings with it new worries for the demi girls—even for the energetic vampire Hikari. Surrounded by friends who are chasing their dreams and feeling out of place in a world of humans, Hikari becomes uncharacteristically gloomy…and nearly ends up hurting the person she cares for most. Himari thinks back on how her twin sister turned from shy and reserved to the sunniest vampire you’d ever meet, all due to a promise they made to each other long ago. Meanwhile, Takahashi-sensei grapples with what it means to be a teacher—after all his support for the demis, where will he be when it’s time for them to stand up on their own?

WHEN THE STARS ALIGN An ordinary day at school turns extraordinary when our gang of teachers and demis witness a scientific miracle. What starts as an experiment in the gymnasium causes a wondrous event that could never occur without each and every one of them—a vampire, a dullahan, a snow woman, a succubus, a kijimunaa, and Takahashi-sensei. There may soon be a miracle of a different kind, too, as a budding relationship between two certain someones grows stronger! Will they finally get their happily ever after?

DEMIS ON THE AIR It’s autumn, and school is slowly winding down. But one little vampire can’t help feeling that something’s still missing. She wants nothing more than someone to talk to—lots of someones! What’s the best place to find plenty of someones, who all have to sit back and listen to your voice? Why, the radio, of course!
