Saybil, Hort, and Kudo, three students from the Royal Academy of Magic of the Kingdom of Wenias, have been sent to the so-called Witch’s Village on a special field training program. Each has begun an enterprise that plays to their strengths as mages: Hort is working as a handymage, Kudo as a magical physician, and Saybil as a mana merchant, the first of his kind. While he may be the worst student in the history of the Academy, his limitless wellspring of mana makes him uniquely suited to support the others—until he’s told that simply dispensing mana isn’t enough!
