The notoriety she earns inspires new, lofty ambitions, but her illusions of grandeur dissipate when she gets a call from the “dead” man himself. She agrees to meet Mitsuo with every intention of giving him what he deserves, but she may be underestimating the hold his charms still have on her…

After finally laying her Mitsuo issues to rest, Minare tries to embrace her new calling as a radio personality. For her next episode, she and Mizuho are eager to pursue an exciting lead—an alleged supernatural mystery afflicting one of Minare’s old neighbors. Unfortunately, the consequences of grasping the truth may be more severe than she expected, both inside and outside the sound booth…

As Minare struggles to establish an identity for her radio show and for herself as a radio personality, she enters the recording booth devoid of good ideas. A clever script from veteran writer Kureko helps save the episode, but when it’s revealed that his days at the station may be numbered, Minare agonizes over the impact this will have on her assistant director Mizuho, who’s idolized him since her school days…

Minare and Mizuho join Kureko on his research trip to the secluded mountain village of Wassamu, where he hopes to gather ideas for a mystery novel. While their local guide, Hokakushi, offers some insights into the area, Minare can barely stifle her boredom—a worry quickly forgotten when the three radio employees find themselves trapped in an old underground canal! What could be illuminated by the light at the end of the tunnel?

Minare, Mizuho, and Kureko find themselves imprisoned and isolated by a cult of broadcast enthusiasts on the cusp of implementing a sinister plot. When it becomes clear that the only way out is to pretend they want in, the three must stoop to unfathomable lows to gain their captors’ trust. Little did they know, three haphazard knights in shining armor were already on their way…

Meanwhile, Makie comes to a decision about her future and begins steering toward it. She begins making the rounds with the other personalities she’ll be working with during the highly anticipated broadcast event, Valentine Radio, which is just around the corner. Mizuho also grasps a lead that she hopes will be a crucial step on her path to becoming a director, but little does she realize it is a thread best left untouched…

Mizuho’s concerted efforts to help advance Minare’s career lead her straight into a trap laid by a dark shadow in her recent past. Stranded in a hut in the middle of a blizzard, the assistant director must keep her wits about her if she is to brave the wilderness to return home. Minare and Madoka are already en route as would-be rescuers, but who is the “Mizuho” that keeps messaging them…?

Despite her best attempts at a daring rescue, Minare ends up trapped alongside Mizuho with no sign of rescue in sight. With both an assistant director and a host missing, Mato scrambles to get something together for their late-night slot. In doing so, he gets in touch with a shadowy figure of the past—the very person Minare reminded him of when he discovered her…

The MRS team launches their counterattack on the mastermind who orchestrated Mizuho’s kidnapping, and Minare successfully buries their antagonist over the air with one of her signature tirades.
